Economic security, affiliation or esteem (appreciation) motivates teambuilding. Affiliation is by sharing ideas, resources and results. One should coo, that is, involve, praise and persuade the other person to cooperate. Praise charms and disarms. It comes from empathy
Harmlessness prevents opposition. Truthfulness ensures result according to action. Honesty creates huge wealth by cooperation. Growth ensures success. Thus, empathy is a prerequisite to teambuilding
Empathy and control of emotions prevent jealousy, harmfulness, finding-fault and intolerance. these enable to remove mental blocks and develop Emotional Intelligence. Many persons do not practise empathy; they see the opposite effect in the short-term. The Four-way Test of Empathy is according to the long-term benefit.
Teambuilding is to do a SMART project after convincing the members about the cost-benefit. Members realise that they are in the same boat and hence row in the same direction. A leader is required to lead the project to its successful completion.
Indicating the degrees of attitudes for teambuilding and those preventing it shows the degree of synergy through teambuilding. It enables to modify the degrees of activities for teambuilding.
Training and group discussion give the knowhow to excel by developing the synergy of the team. The first line of managers shoulders the difficult task of team building between the workers and the management. Yet, education does not include teambuilding skill.
