Part 3: Developing Genius

Every animal has an instinct. In addition, a human being has intuition. It is based on accumulated knowledge and experience. It may or may not be true. In contrast, true knowledge is by insight resulting from successive refinement of action with attention.

Mind is illumination of neurons in the brain. A pattern makes a meaning of the inputs from the senses. Instead of learning from others and from texts, a genius learns by directly experiencing the objects. He sees a thing as it really is and develops true knowledge.

Any important decision becomes correct when all aspects of the problem and all possible solutions are considered. It comes from synergy of analytical and intuitive faculties.

Through repeated action and meditation (Reflection), the mind becomes free of all doubts and as clear as a pure crystal. Then it perfectly reflects the object. It is as if the mind itself has become the object. Sudden realisation of true knowledge is by hindsight. Repetition of the process develops intuitive faculty.

True knowledge about an object develops through analysis, Vitaka, of physical aspects, meditation, Vicara, about the characteristics, joyful discovery, Ananda, from knowledge of the subtle nature and internalization, Asmita, of knowledge about purpose of the object.

Supernormal perception of an object comes from concentration of mind and meditation on the function of senses joining with the object. Linking the cause and effect develops analytical faculty. Finding the cause from the effect develops intuitive faculty. Knowing the future scenario is by projecting the trend from the past into the future.

Where a cause cannot be experienced, keen observation of several similar instances and causal inference’ from logic help
