Bliss by Knowing Nature as Power of Pure Consciousness

“In short, Almighty is ‘Om’. He creates, sustains and changes everything. Deities named Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are the powers of Almighty (Brahman) as creator, sustainor and destroyer of everything in Nature. I am Pure Consciousness alone and the Universe is merely an extension of my consciousness” (27 – 3). Knowledge that everything is an extension of one’s own Pure Consciousness removes the false knowledge about Nature.

“When in contact with Pure Consciousness, Nature is pure Adult ego. She has the twin powers of manifesting the Universe and concealing Pure Consciousness (by covering Him with the Universe). Almighty ‘Hara’, removes unhappiness due to false knowledge and other causes. Being associated with Pure Consciousness (Iswara), Nature is blissful. It covers Pure Consciousness as a layer. It is known as the blissful power (AnandaSakti) of Pure Consciousness because it creates the Universe” (27 - 4). Evidently, as the power of Almighty, the universe is blissful.

“Through meditation, sages saw Nature as the power of Almighty - not as an element separate from Almighty as in Samkhya philosophy. A person with true knowledge realises that the physical universe, with all living beings in it, is the gross ‘input and output’ system of Almighty. Rain satisfies by facilitating production of food. Thus, a person should think and respect that benevolent Almighty is in rain. Similarly, parts of Nature, such as, ever changing sky and life (Prana) of living beings are the signs of the power of Almighty” (27 – 5). Bliss (Ananda) develops when a person enjoys everything as a creation (Sat) of Almighty and perceives objects from Pure Consciousness (Chit). The Bible says that Nature sings God’s praise (Psalms 104). People residing in Himalaya or in Amazon Delta worship trees, mountains, lakes and waterfalls as gods or spirits.
